Decatur Memorial Hospital

Decatur Memorial Hospital, located in Decatur, Illinois, is a 280-bed, not-for-profit, community hospital that has provided medical care since 1916 for residents of central Illinois. Today, DMH is a designated Level II Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center. Inpatient services include orthopedics, cardiopulmonary, vascular medicine, gastroenterology, oncology and neurosciences, emergency medicine and laboratory and radiology services. Outpatient services include infusion, physical therapy, cancer care and more.

Temporary visitor restrictions are now in place for inpatient units at all Memorial Health hospitals due to widespread respiratory illness in our area.

  • Two visitors per patient
  • Visitors should be 18+ and show no signs of illness

Masks are encouraged but not currently required.

Emergency services are available 24 hours daily.

Free Colon Cancer Test Kits Available at Regional Drive-Thru Events

Free take-home screening tests for colon cancer will be distributed at several upcoming drive-thru events in Decatur, Jacksonville, Lincoln, Springfield and Taylorville, sponsored by the Regional Cancer Partnership, which includes Memorial Health, SIU School of Medicine, Springfield Clinic and HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
