About Elisabeth C. Robinson, MD

Elisabeth Robinson, MD, joined the SIU Medicine Department of Surgery as an Assistant Professor in Orthopedics in 2021. She provides comprehensive orthopedic care, specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee, and joint replacements. She cares for children ages six months and older, as well as adult care.
Dr. Robinson attended medical school in her hometown of Chapel Hill at the University of North Carolina. After completing Orthopedic Surgery residency training at the University of Massachusetts, she underwent fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the New England Baptist Hospital. In Boston, she was an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and Tufts University. Prior to SIU, she was in a busy private practice in Greenville, North Carolina, and was previously faculty at the University of Virginia Department of Orthopedic Surgery in the Culpeper Medical Center division. Her research interests include clinical outcomes after arthroscopic surgery.
