Visitor Partnership
We encourage patients to choose a support system that brings comfort and care during their stay. Visitors are an important part of the healing process. Friends, family and loved ones lift spirits, decrease stress, advocate and support decision-making about care. We will make every effort to include visitors in care.
Aggressive behavior is not allowed.
Visitor Responsibilities
Our facilities must be a calm, safe place to provide and receive care.
Safety first. Safety is our first value at Memorial Health. While you are in our facilities, please follow all safety protocols.
Partner with us in care. Collect your questions and ask during care team rounds or during your appointment. We welcome your presence and support in providing care.
Respect others. Choose kindness in your interactions. Behavior that is disruptive, disrespectful or violent, including verbal violence, will result in restricted visitation.
Maintain a calm environment. Patients require rest periods throughout the day and night. Noise on the units or within our providers offices must be kept to a minimum at all times.
Understanding Restrictions
Different patients have different needs based on their condition and risks. Visitor restrictions may be necessary based on the unit type, physical space availability, patient condition and risk of spreading an infection.
- Please do not visit if you are sick.
- Visitors who do not uphold the responsibilities listed above may have their visitation privileges limited or be asked to leave.
- To protect the health of our patients and colleagues, Memorial Health may restrict visitors at times when illnesses are spreading rapidly in our community.
- Memorial Health hospitals are latex-free facilities. Latex balloons are not allowed.
