Other Ways to Give
There are many ways to support Lincoln Memorial Foundation, including check, multi-year pledge and matching gifts.
Some common examples of tax-wise gifting to the Foundation include: appreciated securities, such as stocks and mutual fund shares, a life insurance contract where you pay tax-deductible premiums and Lincoln Memorial Foundation becomes the owner and beneficiary of the contract, farmland and other real estate, unique items of marketable value, grain gifts accepted at local grain elevators in Logan County.
Gifts for the Future : Planned gifts allow you to pass the gift of high-quality, accessible
healthcare to your family, friends, neighbors and generations to come,
without using the liquid assets you might need to support yourself or
your family.
Forms of planned gifts may include: a simple bequest to Lincoln Memorial Foundation in your will or living trust, designating us as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement account, a charitable trust or annuity that pays you income for the rest of your life, a gift of real property, a tax-wise gift of appreciated securities. It’s easy to endow the future of Lincoln Memorial Hospital when you name the Foundation as the beneficiary of a planned
gift.
The Legacy Society recognizes those who have made a planned gift. Examples of types of bequests include: Specific – A set amount of your estate to the Foundation; Percentage – A percentage of estate assets passes to the Foundation; Residuary bequest – The remainder of your estate passes to Foundation after specific bequests are fulfilled; Contingency bequest -- If your primary beneficiary(ies) is/are no
longer living, then your estate would pass to Foundation.
Tribute Wall : We welcome family and friends to send gifts in memory
or in honor of others. The Foundation sends letters of acknowledgement
to the next of kin, or to the honoree themselves. In addition, all
memorials and honor gifts received throughout the year are listed in the LMH Foundation Community Update. The LMH Foundation Tribute Wall is a permanent display that honors
any person, living or deceased, who has had $1,000 or more given by
others in their memory or honor. Two inch square blocks feature the
etched names of those being remembered. To determine the amount already given towards a permanent tribute for your loved one, please call 217-605-5006.
Paver Plaza : Permanently recognize your family or share a special thought with the community through our paver bricks prominently located at the LMH front entrance. Contact us for more information and the gift form.
