Taylorville Memorial Foundation Awards Scholarships to Area Students

The Taylorville Memorial Foundation recently announced the recipients of the Carolyn M. Butterfield Trust Nursing Scholarship, the Taylorville Memorial Foundation Scholarship (formerly the John H. Butterfield Agriscience and Nutrition Scholarship), the Dr. George Ferry Memorial Scholarship and the Katie McCarty Nursing Excellence CNA Scholarship. Additionally, three Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarships were awarded to current TMH colleagues.

Jacksonville Memorial Hospital Names Lauren Dwyer Williams Director of Hospitality

Jacksonville Memorial Hospital (JMH) has named Lauren Dwyer Williams as its new director of hospitality. She will join the organization on Oct. 12, 2026.

5K Run/Walk to Benefit Transplant Patients Celebrates 20th Anniversary Sept. 19

The Alan G. Birtch, MD, Transplant Services at Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sept. 19 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Southwind Park in Springfield. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. with registration at 8 a.m. Participants will meet at Hope Pavilion.

ENT, Allergy Walk-In Appointments Now Available at Memorial Specialty Care

Memorial Specialty Care ENT and Allergy is now offering walk-in appointments for common ear, nose, throat and allergy issues. The appointments are open to people of all ages, including those who are not currently patients of the practice.

Registration is Now Open for Free Class on Reducing Food Waste

A free cooking class “From Peel to Plate: Reducing Food Waste One Bite at a Time” will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 17 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension office.
