Colleagues give because they care about Decatur Memorial Hospital – about the people we serve, the teams we work beside and the future we are building together. Giving is a natural extension of the pride and commitment our colleagues bring to DMH every day.
When colleagues support the DMH Foundation, they choose to invest in the hospital they believe in. Their generosity strengthens patient care, supports fellow colleagues, and helps families in our community when they need it most. Each gift stays right here at DMH, and every donor can direct their support to the area that matters most to them.
Colleague Giving reflects who we are. It is about showing up for one another, sustaining excellence in care and ensuring Decatur Memorial Hospital continues to grow stronger for generations to come. This is not just giving – it is colleagues caring for their hospital and for each other.

Colleagues can choose to designate their gifts to one of the following three priorities
Where the Need is Greatest
- Unrestricted donations support areas of greatest need by funding grants for patient care, workforce development programs and community health initiatives.
Restricted Donations
- Colleague Emergency Assistance - Supports DMH colleagues by providing financial assistance to those experiencing financial strain due to emergency circumstances.
- Med Tech – Medical technology (Med Tech) refers to the equipment and devices used in hospitals to diagnose, treat, and monitor patients—everything from imaging machines to life-saving tools used in surgery and emergency care. Supporting Med Tech through philanthropy helps ensure our care teams have the most advanced tools available to deliver safer, faster, and more effective treatment for every patient.
- Hospice – Gifts to Hospice support patients and families during some of life’s most meaningful and difficult moments. Your generosity helps provide comfort-focused care, specialized equipment, and emotional and spiritual support for patients facing serious illness.
