Memorial Health’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) division provides strategic leadership and support to create an inclusive and equitable environment where each person is treated fairly and with dignity. In addition to external work in Community Health, EDI works internally throughout Memorial Health to support patients and colleagues. Learn more about our commitment in our EDI Pledge.
The EDI team helps:
- Train colleagues in inclusive and culturally-competent care
- Support recruitment and retention efforts
- Monitor processes to ensure equitable patient outcomes
- Create programs and resources to ensure each community member experiences Memorial Health’s excellent patient-care services in a consistent manner.
Colleagues learn more about and participate in our EDI efforts through the online Workplace EDI Group. For community members, we partner with many diverse organizations to pursue an equitable and inclusive community, particularly for health and well-being. Learn more about the Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) and Community Health Implementation Plans (CHIPs) on the Community Health page.
