Licensure Course Materials

Welcome to the Memorial EMS resource page for licensure course materials.

Recording Options

Regardless of mechanism utilized, a simple microphone and camera are needed. Typically, around $35 on Amazon.

Microsoft Teams

  • Typically included in Microsoft Office suite, but ability to record (and transcribe) may be an add on.
  • If the group is set up with Microsoft Teams, and the training is then recorded, all invited attendees can access the recording. Organizer will have to share the link with attendees (per class or all, in settings).

Zoom

  • Free accounts are possible, but typically only allow for short sessions. You may need to start a new file after every break.
  • After the training, you can send email link to the recording via email.

PowerPoint Slide Recorder

  • Allows you to record either the whole presentation or per slide.
  • Will need a way to post the file, file will be large
  • Works great with doing one slide at a time, when you may need to update pieces for a second presentation.

Google Slides

  • Works great with Google Classroom as both a recording tool but also a platform for maintaining information for students to access.

File Storing and Sharing Options

Platform provided by educational facilities

Many educational facilities already utilize a platform throughout their organization. If you have this resource, then you also have colleagues and maybe even IT that can help when you have questions. Examples would be:

  • Blackboard
  • Platinum Planner
  • Canvas
  • Google Classroom

Google Classroom

One of the more robust entry level options, but not overwhelming when it comes to price. Free options may be available, and students may already be knowledgeable on this platform. Unlike a shared drive, more than one person can access at a time.

OneNote

Additional Microsoft Office tool, but allows you to create a shared notebook where the instructor can keep some items only visible to themselves while sharing other items. Unlike a shared drive, more than one person can access at a time.

Moodle

App based platform that can be used, in many cases, fee free.

Electronic Assessment Options

Helpful with TEI questioning (there are many options).

  • Google Classroom
  • Moodle
  • Canvas
