Karen Olson, a clinical systems analyst, is the System Resources Colleague of the Month at Memorial Health for September.
Olson’s expertise and can-do attitude inspires others. She helps identify trends and issues, allowing teams to work more efficiently. Olson’s creation of customized reports has been especially helpful to the revenue cycle department, reducing the amount of time it takes to upload itemized bills to insurances for appeals, disputes and charge reviews to seconds instead of days.
“There is nothing you can’t ask her to help create or design,” Olson’s nominator wrote. “Sometimes, it is the quiet people in the background who are making big impacts in subtle ways that sometimes go unnoticed and underpraised. Every team member who has had the privilege to work with Karen holds her in high esteem.”
Olson has worked for Memorial Health since 1997.
