Lorelei Freitag, food service associate at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for August.
Freitag’s attention to detail can be found behind the counter and in the kitchen where she ensures her acute care patients are satisfied with the quality of the food and how it is served. She even helps patients who need assistance opening milk containers and works diligently to make sure food is prepared and presented properly.
“Lorelei always puts on her sunshine when she serves our patients on the acute floor,” wrote her nominator. “She is forever mindful of safety and sanitation, and she helps to make sure tasks are done properly, effectively and efficiently. I appreciate her dedication back behind the serving line with her ever-cheery countenance.”
Freitag has worked for Taylorville Memorial Hospital since 2018.
