Green is appreciated by her patients for making sure they do not have to be stuck twice. She confirms no other tests are being run; she talks with techs to make sure the patient’s blood isn’t already in the lab; and she’s always extremely patient when looking for a vein for the needle.

Jenny’s co-workers appreciate how she encourages them, answers questions and helps when needed.

“Jenny is a ray of sunshine in the lab and is always respectful to everyone,” wrote her nominator. “She talks with her patients while drawing their blood. One time she had a patient with dementia. He was upset and confused about the procedure. Jenny started singing to him, and he was able to relax and get his blood drawn.”

Green has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2022.
