Brooks works the night shift and is well-regarded by colleagues for his attention to detail, willingness to help out and his focus on patient care and safety. His dedication is widely appreciated throughout the hospital because he floats between different units.

“I was having a pretty busy shift, and one of my patients was not even assigned to him, but when I went to check on the patient, Eddie had already gone in and addressed everything so that I could focus on my sicker patients,” wrote his nominator. “This is not the first time he has gone above and beyond, and he deserves this recognition.”

Brooks has worked for Springfield Memorial Hospital since 2022.
