Michelle Gish, CNA, Transitional Care Unit, always offer an encouraging word and a bright smile to her patients. “The absolute most rewarding part of my job is being able to be a small light of Jesus when a patient is feeling down,” said Gish. 

Gish was selected as Colleague of the Month for her passion and dedication to patients. “She’s immediately there to help,” wrote her nominator. “Not only is she kind to her patients, but also to her colleagues. She an absolute joy to be around.”

As a certified nurse assistant, Gish assists patients with their daily needs. “I really enjoy helping patients get better,” Gish said. “And, my colleagues in Transitional Care are awesome too.”     

Gish and her husband, Jamie, live in Woodson. They are the parents of two children. In her free time, Gish enjoys camping with her family and reading. “I’m down for a good book any day,” said Gish. 

The Colleague of the Month at Passavant receives eight hours off with pay, a special plaque and pin, a close parking space for one month in the physicians’ parking garage and a decorated cake.
