The family of a critically–ill patient shared their appreciation for the special care Jacob Daniels, ADN, RN, ICCU, provided their loved one by nominating him for the Daisy Award.

“Jacob cared for our family member with kindness, gentleness and professionalism. He was so attentive. Jacob listened and allowed our loved one to die with peace and dignity. He was at the bedside to make sure there was no suffering. Jacob was also there for us and other family members to make sure we had what we needed.”

Daniels was selected as this quarter’s recipient of the Daisy Award at Passavant Area Hospital. Passavant partners with the Daisy Foundation to give the award to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse who consistently demonstrates excellence through clinical expertise and extraordinary, compassionate care.
