Anna White is Employee of the Month

4/4/2019

“I love helping our patients get back on their feet,” said Anna White, DPT, Rehabilitation Services. “Working with a patient who has had pain and limitations for a long time experience that moment when they have no pain and they can do everything they want is my reward.”

White, a graduate of St. Louis University, is the March Employee of the Month at Passavant Area Hospital. Her nomination cited her positive relationships with patients and co-workers. “When her patients are having a bad day, she takes the time to help walk them through their problems. Anna is also a constant reminder of support and encouragement for her co-workers. She is always the first one to offer a kind word.”

“I love my co-workers,” said White. “We have so much experience in our department. I am constantly learning something new. The department feels like a family. There’s always someone to talk to, not just about work, but life stuff too.”

As an outpatient physical therapist, White evaluates and treats multiple conditions including orthopedic pain, dysfunction and mobility deficits. Last year, she devoted weekend time to earn a certification (Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist) in dry needling to help bring that treatment option to patients at Passavant. She plans to earn an additional certification, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, later this year.

White resides in Springfield and enjoys cheering the St. Louis Cardinals, running, traveling and spending time with family.

The Employee of the Month at Passavant receives eight hours off with pay, an Employee of the Month plaque, an Employee of the Month pin, a close parking space for one month in the physicians’ parking garage and a decorated cake.
