Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois to Relocate its Lincoln Office

11/26/2013

Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois (MHCCI) will relocate its staff to Memorial Physician Services-Lincoln, 515 N. College St., on Dec. 9.

MHCCI will offer expanded hours when it makes the move. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We believe this move will offer our clients the best of both worlds,” Jan Gambach, MHCCI president, said. “We’ll be able to provide the same personalized care but in a more comfortable and confidential setting.”

The Lincoln office primarily serves individuals who live in Logan and Mason counties. Its phone number will remain unchanged at (217) 735-2272 for scheduling appointments, contacting therapists or case managers and calling for assistance for directions to the new location.

By providing therapy and support in a primary-care setting, patients will have access to integrated care to address issues such as depression, anxiety or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

“Patients often first report illness, whether physical or emotional, to their primary-care provider,” Gambach said. “By having a therapist on site, the primary-care provider can offer immediate services by a trained professional who can recommend interventions that can have a greater likelihood of success.”

MHCCI staff members will join therapists with Memorial Counseling Associates, also a service of MHCCI, who already have offices at Memorial Physician Services-Lincoln.

An affiliate of Memorial Health System, MHCCI provides a range of mental health services to nearly 9,000 children, adolescents and adults each year in six counties: Logan, Mason, Menard, Morgan, Scott and Sangamon.
