Passavant Area Hospital and the Passavant Auxiliary recently presented a paramedic vehicle to the City of Jacksonville Fire Department (JFD).

“Now that we have closed our paramedic service at Passavant, we are happy to provide our paramedic vehicle to the JFD,” said Harry Schmidt, Passavant president and chief executive officer. “We are glad to be a partner with the JFD, and we will continue to support them with our training and resources.”

The JFD will utilize the vehicle as they transition to provide advanced life support service in Jacksonville and in some surrounding communities. The Auxiliary originally purchased the vehicle for the Passavant paramedic program in 2014.
