Passavant Area Hospital’s Employee of the Month is Jon Wilkerson, a registered nurse in the Emergency Department (ED). Wilkerson has been a Passavant employee four years.

A grateful co-worker nominated him for the honor. “Jon exemplifies the characteristics of caring, attention to detail and creating the best possible patient experience that each employee at Passavant would be happy to emulate. The same respect he gives to our doctors, Jon gives to co-workers, patients, patient caregivers and family members. He maintains that respect for others even when out of earshot of the person. In difficult situations, he shows a professionalism that is genuine. Jon often displays selfless acts of good will with patients and their family members. His demeanor and self-confidence seem to calm many of his patients. Jon also gives guidance to new staff.”

As a registered nurse in the ED, Jon helps to evaluate and treat acute and critically-ill patients.

Wilkerson and his wife, Chari, reside in Jacksonville. 

The Employee of the Month at Passavant receives eight hours off with pay, an Employee of the Month plaque, a close parking space for one month, gift cards for the Cafeteria and Gift Shop, a movie gift card, pen and pencil set, picnic blanket, flashlight/tool kit, Mason jar cup, umbrella, small cooler, lunch sack, drawstring tote, water bottle, notepad, flashlight key ring, coffee mug, and cup.
