Passavant Welcomes First Newborn of 2018

1/3/2018

Korbyn Lee Kessinger made his appearance a bit earlier than his mother expected, but right on time to be Passavant Area Hospital’s first baby born in the New Year.

Korbyn was born Monday, January 1, at 2:55 p.m., the son of Alicia Stuller and Brandon Kessinger of White Hall. His due date was January 13.

“I was surprised,” said Stuller. “I wasn’t expecting him [so soon].”

Korbyn weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. He has one sibling, seven-year-old Bryson Farris.

Korbyn’s middle name, Lee, is in honor of his father and paternal grandfather.

Staff in Passavant’s obstetrics department presented the family with a gift basket containing books, diapers and stuffed toys for baby and a lounging robe for mother.
