11/3/2026

Decatur Memorial Hospital will honor those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces with a Veterans Recognition Program at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the hospital’s Barnes Lobby. Veterans and community members are invited to attend.

The program will include the unveiling of a new Veterans Plaque in the Barnes Lobby, recognizing the service and sacrifice of veterans. The event will also feature special musical entertainment by Julie McClarey-Smith, remarks from a guest speaker and recognition of veterans in attendance. DMH colleague and veteran Troy Olsen will be the featured speaker.

“We are proud to recognize the veterans who are part of the Decatur Memorial Hospital family and our greater community,” said Tanya Andricks, president and CEO of Decatur Memorial Hospital. “Veterans have given so much in service to our country. This plaque will serve as a lasting expression of our gratitude and respect for their service.”

The program also offers an opportunity for colleagues, patients, families and community members to come together in gratitude for those who have served.

In appreciation of their service, all veterans are also invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, lunch or dinner in Café DMH on Nov. 11.
