Daniel Lasanska, a security officer at Lincoln Memorial Hospital (LMH), has been named July Colleague of the Month.
Lasanska, who joined the nonprofit hospital in March 2023, is recognized for his steady presence and willingness to assist wherever needed. He frequently supports the Emergency Department, working closely with patients experiencing mental health challenges and helping de-escalate tense situations.
“Dan has been a great asset to our hospital and is always willing to help out,” wrote the nominator. “He listens to patients and helps us to keep them calm. Even when patients are frustrated, Dan does a great job to de-escalate the situation and keep everyone safe.”
Colleagues say Lasanska approaches every interaction with professionalism, kindness and respect. In one instance, he purchased a toy to comfort a pediatric patient experiencing psychiatric distress, helping create a more supportive environment during a difficult visit.
