We are excited to host the fall information session for the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) and the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) collaboration for nursing students on Thursday, September 21st at 5:00pm - 9:00pm. UIC, UIS and Memorial Health System (MHS) partnered together to offer students an opportunity to earn a Bachlor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree almost two years ago. Academic advisors will be available for assistance and a panel of current nurses and nursing students will also present information about the program. According to UIS's website (uis.edu/nursing), attendees will "learn what to expect as a nursing student, costs, and scholarships, admission requirements, and career options." The first cohort began in the fall of 2016 with 64 students enrolled, they are expected to receive their BSN in May of 2018. UIC hosts assessment labs and evening classes on the 4th floor during the academic year. This is the second year for this collbaoration and we are excited to see it's continued success!
