The Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that over $28,000 was donated during the 2017 Mission in Action (MIA) employee giving campaign.
Mission in Action provided TMH employees the opportunity to make a difference in the organization through philanthropy by donating at a personally appropriate level to further the TMH Foundation’s commitment to serving the hospital, employees and community. Twelve TMH employees formed a MIA committee and planned the baseball-themed campaign, coined “Join the Team”, and its kickoff events including a ball park meal, popcorn and prizes.
“MIA touched me personally, as our employees already devote their time and talents to serve our patients and community. To donate to the Foundation in support of its mission is an extension of the care they exhibit on a daily basis,” said TMH Foundation executive director, Raedena Ryan. “It’s a privilege to work alongside so many generous people – they truly hit one out of the ball park.”
Whether big or small, combined donations have a big impact on the hospital’s mission to improve the health of the people and communities it serves. Contribution amounts from employees remain confidential. Regardless of the amount given or pledged, donors are recognized by years of participation on the Foundation’s donor recognition wall located on the first floor near the hospital’s front lobby and will be published in the 2017 update to the community. To date, 78 employees have donated to the campaign. While the official campaign is over, donations are still being accepted.
Mission in Action is administered by the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, whose role is to strengthen the future of TMH through charitable giving. For more information about Mission in Action, contact the Foundation office at 217–824–1651.
