Passavant Area Hospital’s Employee of the Month is Chris Robeen. He is a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and has been employed at Passavant six years.
His nomination from a grateful co-worker read, “One day when the ED was overflowing and stress levels high, a young girl came in with an arm injury. Chris was the triage nurse. During the process of vitals, x-rays and conversation, Chris determined this young lady was the victim of bullying at school. Chris, as he always does, sympathized with his patient. He promised to be there for her if she ever needed help and/or felt she had nowhere else to turn. To me, this could have very well been a turning point in this girl’s life. Just knowing she has someone willing to listen and help could make all the difference. The girl had a broken arm, but ended up with a new friend on her team.”
As a registered nurse in the Emergency Department, Chris is responsible for the management of patient care.
Chris and his wife, Shanda, are the parents of three children, Wynter, Owen and Clay. The family resides in White Hall.
The Employee of the Month at Passavant receives eight hours off with pay, an Employee of the Month plaque, a close parking space for one month, gift cards for the Cafeteria and Gift Shop, a movie gift card, pen and pencil set, picnic blanket, flashlight/tool kit, Mason jar cup, umbrella, small cooler, lunch sack, drawstring tote, water bottle, notepad, flashlight key ring, coffee mug, and cup.
