It’s a great time to plan your Festival of Trees design for next year.

Stephanie Kent, chair of the 2017 Festival, recently announced the theme: “Skates, Sleds & Snow.” The colors will be blue, white and brown.

“My theme came about because I love watching a child’s face light up when we have the first snowfall of the season. They are thinking about all of the fun they can have making snow angels, going ice skating or sledding down a favorite hill,” Kent said. “It is a magical time of year for children and those who have a youthful spirit.”

Kent has been the Festival’s volunteer co-chair since 2011.

“I am honored to have been selected as the chair of the 2017 Festival of Trees,” she said. “I have seen firsthand the dedication and impressive work ethic of all our volunteers. The number of hours they put in to make the Festival happen is truly amazing.”
