Taylorville Memorial Hospital will present a Back 2 School Health and Resource Fair for local residents from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Christian County YMCA, 900 McAdam Drive in Taylorville. The event will also include a free community cookout at 11.
“Back-to-school time is the perfect opportunity for families to improve their health and well-being,” said community health coordinator Jay Boulanger. “This event will give families the resources they need to start the school year off in a healthy way.”
Activities will include music, games, inflatables, Kona Ice, a petting zoo, kids’ activities, a produce giveaway, health and resource vendors, free school supplies, plus free haircuts and free screenings for vision and hearing.
No registration is necessary for the event.
