Springfield Memorial Hospital (SMH) has named Jason Terry, a radiologic technologist, as June Colleague of the Month.
Terry, who joined the nonprofit hospital in April 2018, is a trusted presence in the operating room. Colleagues regard him as a top OR radiology technologist whose expertise is appreciated and respected among radiology techs and other departments alike.
“Jason is always mindful of Memorial Health values and does everything in his power to do right by the patient and his colleagues,” wrote one nominator.
The nomination highlighted Terry’s focus on safety for every patient, his dependability and the integrity he brings to his work. As a lead OR radiologic technologist, he manages and allocates resources, including directing other technologists to where they are needed most in the OR, especially on busier days in surgery.
“Quality is of utmost importance in radiology,” wrote another nominator. “If anyone deserves to be recognized as a Colleague of the Month, Jason should be at the top of that list.”
The Colleague of the Month award celebrates Memorial Health colleagues who exemplify excellence in their roles and embody the organization’s mission, vision and values.
