Jennifer Prasun, a secretary in the physical therapy department at Taylorville Memorial Hospital (TMH), has been named the hospital's May Colleague of the Month.
Colleagues and patients alike describe Prasun as someone whose warmth and reliability set the tone for the entire department. She stays late when coverage is needed, adjusts her schedule without hesitation and has the ability to make people feel at ease the moment they walk through the door.
"Jennifer’s calm, adaptable attitude stabilizes even the busiest days, while her cheerful demeanor and constant smile create a welcoming, uplifting environment for both patients and staff," wrote one nominator.
Nominators also mentioned that she remembers names, preferences and personal details from a previous visit, which can elevate the experience for everyone in the department, from first-time patients managing anxiety about a new diagnosis to teammates navigating a difficult shift.
