A free cooking class on how best to incorporate colorful fruits and vegetables for improved brain health will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on June 30 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension office.
Participants will enjoy hands-on time preparing simple, fresh recipes that highlight seasonal produce.
Lisa Peterson, MS, Nutrition & Wellness Extension Educator, will also teach about the MIND diet and the role antioxidants play in keeping your brain working at its best.

On the most recent Community Health Needs Assessment survey, Christian County residents indicated a need for more nutrition education and accessibility of healthy foods. These classes are one way TMH is helping meet that need.
