The Lincoln Memorial Hospital (LMH) Market is preparing for its eleventh season and is currently accepting vendor, volunteer and Market Host applications. The season will open Saturday, May 9, at the Logan County Fairgrounds in Lincoln and run through Sept. 19.
The Market operates from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays inside the Expo Building. Sponsored by the Lincoln Memorial Foundation, the indoor event is a “producer-only” farmers market featuring items that are homegrown or vendor-created by locally owned operations.

Vendors at The Market offer a variety of products including fruits, vegetables, eggs, poultry, baked goods, honey and more. Shoppers enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which helps families supplement their grocery budgets, may use a Link card to purchase food at the farmers market. The Market offers SNAP matching for Link card holders, and the match is tripled every third Saturday.
The Market is also seeking volunteers for the upcoming season. Volunteers greet visitors, answer questions, support the Power of Produce (POP) Club and other activities, assist vendors, collect data, and help manage setup and cleanup.
“Our volunteers create a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors, which keeps folks coming back each Saturday,” said Jamie Jones, coordinator for The Market. “They are a big part of the market’s success.”
Volunteers are asked to sign up for two shifts per month. Shifts run from 7 to 10 a.m. and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt to wear during their shifts and a free meal during each shift worked. To learn more or apply, call 217-605-5700 or complete an application online at

Additionally, The Market is seeking nonprofit organizations interested in becoming Market Hosts. Market Hosts assist with operations and volunteer their time to help create a welcoming experience for visitors. Participating organizations have the opportunity to showcase their mission and connect with the community.
