When you enter the doors of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital there is a good possibility that you will be greeted by Diane Powers of Lincoln, the ALMH September Employee of the Month.
Powers has worked at ALMH for 16 years. In her role in the patient access department she is oftentimes the first face to greet patients. Powers completes preregistration for surgeries and outpatient procedures. She also helps patients check-in for diagnostic testing including x-rays and laboratory tests.
Powers was nominated anonymously for the recognition and selected by the ALMH employee activity committee. Her nominator wrote, “Diane is always positive and appreciated by everyone…co-workers, volunteers, and patients. She has put in a lot of extra hours and effort to keep patient access running smoothly this year. She is a real team player and is very easy to work with.”
Powers is proud to serve patients with their registration needs and does it with a smile. “ALMH is a great place to work because of the small hospital setting. I am close to my co-workers, we are like a family and that helps us provide great service to our patients,” said Powers.
Powers lives in Lincoln with her husband of 42 years, Joe Powers. She has two children, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
ALMH is a 25-bed critical access hospital located at 200 Stahlhut Drive in Lincoln, Illinois and is an affiliate of Memorial Health System. ALMH employs over 315 in a variety of roles. For more information about ALMH, visit ALMH.org.
