Robert Moffett, an inventory control clerk at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s 2024 Colleague of the Year.
Moffett ensures the ordering process for the hospital runs efficiently, and available resources are documented and used appropriately. He prioritizes keeping inventory updated to always know what is on hand for patients.
“Having those items ready and being able to secure other items on short notice is the rewarding part,” he said. “I look forward to growing in my current role to become more efficient at providing the products needed for TMH.”
Colleagues appreciate his positive helpful attitude, which makes the most complicated jobs go more smoothly when it comes to adding or subtracting items from the storeroom and other tasks.
“He has made the ordering process in the Emergency Department more efficient, less wasteful and easier by adding things easily to our templates,” wrote one nominator. “He is a behind-the-scenes hero who helps TMH run so smoothly.”
Moffett has worked for Taylorville Memorial Hospital since 2008 and was named the March Colleague of the Month. He lives in Taylorville with his wife. They have three children and one grandchild.
The Colleague of the Year is selected from individuals previously named Colleague of the Month in 2024.
