Prairieland United Way recently received a check for $3,331, the proceeds from the 30th annual Jacksonville Memorial Hospital 5K/10K Race, held this past October.
“We’re proud to continue the JMH Race legacy of giving back to the community,” said Kevin Eckhoff, race director. “This donation will provide so many opportunities for the agencies served by Prairieland United Way.”
Karen Walker, executive director of Prairieland United Way, shared her appreciation for the Jacksonville Memorial Hospital race team for designating the proceeds of the 5K/10K Race to Prairieland United Way’s 2024 Campaign.
“We love to see so many go the ‘extra mile’ to make our community a better place for us to live and work,” Walker said. “The energy is contagious and shows that JMH’s leadership and employees are committed to working together to build a prosperous, healthy community.”
The JMH 5K/10K is the longest-held annual running race in the city. 2024 was the 30th
anniversary of the race.
