Two cardiologists have joined the team at Memorial Specialty Care Cardiology.
Interventional cardiologist Dr. Adebola Orekoya earned a medical degree from the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland, and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Buffalo in New York. She also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
"I am eager to contribute to the exceptional care provided at Memorial Specialty Care Cardiology and build relationships with the Decatur community,” she said. “This collaborative environment is ideal for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.”
General cardiologist Dr. Nakeya Dewaswala earned her medical degree from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College in Mumbai, India, and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami/JFK Medical Center Palm Beach Regional GME Consortium in Atlantis, Florida. She also completed a fellowship in adult cardiovascular medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
“As a general cardiologist, my vision is to provide comprehensive, compassionate and inclusive care for all patients,” she said. “By focusing on preventive measures, early detection and personalized treatment plans, I aim to improve heart health and overall well-being for every patient.”
