Samantha Steele, an Employee Assistance Program intake coordinator with Memorial Behavioral Health, is the July Memorial Health Ambulatory Colleague of the Month.
Steele was commended for being a team player when illness disrupted colleague work schedules. On several occasions, Steele adjusted her schedule to fill in gaps in coverage. During those times, Steele excelled in her normal role and answered phones, registered and scheduled patients and sent links for telehealth visits and other tasks to support therapy staff.
“Her willingness and ability to step in and support our department has helped avoid disruptions to patient care while reducing stress on the rest of our team,” wrote her nominator. “She has shown integrity through her positive attitude. Her quality of work is terrific and has not been diminished by taking on additional responsibilities. She has been a remarkable steward within our department.”
Steele has worked for Memorial Health since 2019.
