Patrick Lay, a physical therapist assistant at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for July.

Colleagues praised Lay for his positive and respectful demeanor and always being willing to help. He’s considered the “go-to guy” when something needs fixed and is usually able to address the issue before having to call in outside help.

“Patrick is such a calming presence and consistently friendly face,” wrote one nominator. “His patients love him! He is always safe with his patients. He has strong integrity, offers quality care and stewards our resources.”

Lay has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2006.
