As we approach the holiday season, many people begin to think of what they are thankful for, and to count their blessings.  Everyone has something to be thankful for, whether it is family, friends, or perhaps your health.  Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation is thankful that they have continued to assist the Hospital in improving healthcare services for the community by continuing to provide state of the art equipment for testing and procedures. 

TMH has recently conducted a healthcare needs assessment for our area and have found that Christian County has experienced an increase in diagnosed cancer cases.  Therefore, this year, Taylorville Memorial Hospital and the TMH Foundation have identified the need to expand the cancer screening services by purchasing an additional colonoscope to aid in early colon cancer detection.  Additional physician services have also been added by Elizabeth Dawn Wiefeldt, M.D. who is a Board certified Colon-Rectal Surgeon and who will be utilizing the new equipment in her practice and performing procedures at TMH.
