Megan Bertolino, a staff pharmacist at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for May.
Bertolino consistently demonstrates exceptional performance and pays close attention to each detail related to a patient’s medication list. She ensures home medications are current and double-checks that dosage and frequency are correctly listed for each patient. She also is diligent about doing a cross check of home medications against prescribed active medications to avoid any unintended side effects.
“Megan’s hard work, attitude and awareness have made a significant impact on the pharmacy team,” her nominator wrote. “Her attention to detail and awareness have been impactful for many of our patients.”
Bertolino has worked for Taylorville Memorial Hospital since 2022.
