Omar Al-Heeti, MD, an internal medicine physician specializing in infectious disease, has joined Memorial Specialty Care.
Dr. Al-Heeti graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor of science degree in community health and earned a medical degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois Chicago and an infectious disease fellowship at Northwestern University.
“We are excited to continue to expand our team at Memorial Specialty Care,” said Kimberly Paskiewicz, administrator of specialty care for Memorial Health. “Dr. Al-Heeti will help us care for more patients in central Illinois who need expert care for infectious disease.”
“I was born and raised in central Illinois, and central Illinois is my home,” Dr. Al-Heeti said. “I feel a sense of obligation to provide expert care for the community that allowed me to become what I am today. Treating the community is extremely important for me because these are my people, and this is my home.”
