Jouett’s patience is on display every day in her role as a cashier with Patient Financial Services. Known for her integrity, Jouett is helpful and kind to every person who comes to the window needing assistance. She ensures patient billing is correct and helps direct people to the correct place with any outside vendor bills that Memorial Health cannot help resolve.
“Mary doesn’t get flustered when someone isn’t understanding,” wrote her nominator. “She calls an interpreter when needed and gives her name if the client has future questions. She takes extra time to explain when someone is not sure. She doesn’t make any excuses if she doesn’t know the answer. Instead, she will ask for help from another colleague or take the contact information down so she can get back to the person with the requested information.”
Jouett has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 1998.
