Colleagues appreciate Kohler’s work ethic. He is diligent about facility maintenance and answers calls promptly and gives regular progress reports to those affected. He is vigilant about potential issues and even comes in on the occasional Saturday to ensure any Friday repairs are working properly.

“Bob is amazing,” wrote his nominator. “He has been up on the roof on hot days fixing the air or on freezing cold days fixing the heat. He is kind and has the best attitude for his job.”

Kohler has worked for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2022.
