Dennis is known for her excellence in professionalism and patient care. She was recognized for her assistance during a patient discharge where she anticipated the patient’s needs and averted a potentially challenging situation with kindness and compassion.

“She made her best efforts to communicate with the patient and the teams not on-site,” wrote her nominator from SIU School of Medicine. “She intervened at the right time and helped in a crucial way to make it a safe discharge. It is refreshing to see young nurses have a calm disposition and truly embody the service spirit of our noble profession.”

Dennis has worked for Springfield Memorial Hospital since 2018.
