Laura Kavanaugh, a lab services technician in Anatomic Pathology at Springfield Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for July.

Kavanaugh is highly regarded as an extremely dependable and tenacious co-worker.

“From my recent interactions with Laura, I was struck by her attention to detail and her situational awareness,” wrote the nominator. “Quality to me is replicating the same process over and over and getting consistent results. Laura processes so many external packages, but each one gets the same level of review and scrutiny.”

Kavanaugh has worked for Springfield Memorial Hospital since 2012.
