On scope days, Jessica cleans and reprocesses every endoscope used that day and ensures there is a clean and highly disinfected endoscope ready for each patient. She may have 15 or more scopes to reprocess that day, but she ensures each one receives the same high level of attention.
She also fits other department processing needs into her day including delivery trays, ED instruments and more. If there are total joint replacements that week, she deals with seven or more large trays of instruments per case – all washed, dried, wrapped and sterilized.
“She always has a smile and doesn’t complain about the amount of work we pile on her!” wrote her nominator. “We are so lucky to have Jessica working with us at LMH.”
Jessica has worked at Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2010.
