Barber is often referred to as a colleague who “goes above and beyond” in her daily tasks. She works hard to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently for the department and not only works closely with her colleagues but also with the finance team. She stays up-to-date on insurance changes and makes sure to communicate what she learns to others.
On the patient side, she ensures patient information is up-to-date. If a patient has a question about service or equipment, she is the department’s “go-to.”
“Carla’s work ethic and timeliness are essential in helping our department run smoothly,” wrote one of her nominators. “If she doesn’t have the answer directly, she will find out. Many times she has researched or been on the phone for hours to help our patients with timely billing and make sure services are covered. She is truly a wealth of information.”
