Henz is a multitasker known for excelling at several tasks at the same time in the cafeteria and always with a positive attitude.

“Carol is constantly floating back and forth between the food preparation and the cash registers,” her nominator wrote. “I can’t tell with her mask on, but I’m sure she has a smile on her face! She is always very polite and tells you to have a good day, even when you know her day isn’t going that great.”

Henz has worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2010.

The colleague of the year is selected from 11 individuals previously named colleague of the month from January through November of the year. Henz was the November DMH colleague of the month.
