Florence Holmes, a clinician in adult outpatient services at Memorial Behavioral Health, is the Memorial Health Ambulatory Division Colleague of the Month for April.
Holmes is an embedded therapist in Springfield School District 186, where she helps young people navigate mental health issues.
During the last COVID-19 surge, Holmes created a document of mental health resources to help co-workers and community workers find support in navigating work/life balance.
“The resource list that Flo put together was very comprehensive with specific hotlines and text lines for Spanish speakers and LGBTQ+ individuals,” said Lingling Liu, community engagement and equity, diversity and inclusion coordinator at Memorial Health.
Holmes, of Springfield, has worked for Memorial Health since 2016.
Outside of work, Holmes enjoys spending time with her husband and children, relaxing her mind by cleaning and organizing her home, listening to audio books and teaching fitness classes.
