James Cass, a medical service tech at Memorial Home Medical Supply, is the Memorial Health Ambulatory Division Colleague of the Month for February.

Cass, of Springfield, has worked for Memorial Health since 2018. Clients of Memorial Home Medical Supply frequently request him by name to handle delivery of their home medical equipment.

Cass was nominated for recognition after he recently helped a co-worker fix brake lights on her vehicle so she could drive home safely, but that is only the most recent example of how Cass goes beyond the basic responsibilities of his job to help patients and his co-workers, said hospital officials.

Outside of work, Cass enjoys camping, riding bikes, hiking and spending time with his family, which includes his spouse of 16 years, two daughters, one son and two grandsons. He also enjoys working on his 1962 Buick Special.
