Healthcare Career Education Grant Application Deadline Slated June 1

Aspiring health care professionals have until June 1 to submit an application to receive funding through the Taylorville Memorial Foundation Healthcare Education Grant program.

“Supporting the studies of students reflects the mission of both the foundation and the hospital,” said Lindsay Barry, president of the Taylorville Memorial Foundation. “We are confident in our investment in students, the hospital and our community.”

Awards range from $1,500 for a certified nursing assistant degree and up to $30,000 for a graduate degree.

The health care grants help create a pipeline of professional clinical staff for Taylorville Memorial Hospital, helping to ensure the nonprofit hospital has the staff needed to provide necessary care to patients, Barry said.

“At the direction of the board, we have made a commitment to invest in workforce development at TMH (Taylorville Memorial Hospital) through this grant program. We are proud to support local students pursuing degrees in health care with the opportunity to work at or extend their commitment to TMH upon degree completion,” said Raedena Ryan, executive director of the Taylorville Memorial Foundation. “The ability to invest in talented future care providers is possible thanks to our generous donors’ support of the program.”
