Haley Lipcamon, a registered nurse in Passavant Area Hospital’s outpatient department, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for June.

Lipcamon was nominated by a patient who appreciated Lipcamon’s attention to detail in her patient care. “She used great hygiene and sterilization when cleaning my PICC lines. She was organized with the materials and I felt confident in what she was doing,” said the patient.

Lipcamon joined Passavant Area Hospital in 2011 and enjoys the relationships she develops with her patients. “In my department, patients come for weeks or, in some cases, years. I enjoy seeing them and getting to chat with them about things going on in their lives,” said Lipcamon. “In some cases, patients become like family.”

Lipcamon’s professional goals include pursuing education to allow her to work in the infectious disease or oncology departments as an advanced practice nurse.

Lipcamon, of Pittsfield, enjoys swimming, shopping, cooking and reading.
